About
I am a 29 year old music teacher based in the North East of England specialising in guitar tuition. I have been teaching guitar for several years now with a 100% pass rate amongst all of my students in graded examinations. I can assist and advise students in all aspects of their musical endeavours, be it songwriting, performing or understanding of music theory.
My style of teaching emphasises a highly tailored approach towards each individual student depending on their ability and overall aims. From beginners who are looking to simply learn the basics of their instrument and play along with their favourite songs, to intermediate and advanced players who are seeking guidance in refining their techniques, I can offer friendly, engaging and professional tuition on your chosen instrument.
Exam Boards Taught
RGT Guitar, Bass and Ukulele.
Qualifications
I hold a Grade 8 qualification in Electric Guitar Playing through the Registry of Guitar Tutors. I also hold a Btec qualification in Music Technology.
Abilities Taught
Complete Beginners to Advanced.
As a teacher my main aim is to work on your core ability as a musician so that you may feel comfortable and confident improvising and playing with others in an ensemble context with a view to finding your own style and niche in the music world.

How long will it take to learn to play guitar?
How long is a piece of string? :D There is no real response for this question as every student learns at a different rate. However as a guide someone who practices regularly between lessons should be able to play basic chords and a strumming pattern within 6 weeks.
Do you have any age restrictions?
I would recommend the earliest starting age of 5/6 years old. There is no upper age limit and I currently teach a lot of adults.
